Cracked under the pressure...

AC Milan crashed out of the Uefa cup today on account of a brace from Claudio Pizarro and the away goals rule. They also managed to fall into a bin with the likes of Bayern Münich which reads "teams that under performed in their domestic league, missed out on the Champions League, spent quite a bit of money over the summer to appease their fans, and then fail to win the Uefa cup despite being heavy favorites." I can admit to being part of the crowd that though AC Milan's trot to the final would be a formality given their excellent European prowess and fantastic squad. In my mind, Ancelotti is the one responsible, and has once again let the club and its fans down. I'm not usually one to point fingers at managers, but when you have as much fire power at your disposal as Ancelotti does, there really is no excuse for being knocked out by a mediocre Bremen side. Also, AC Milan are practically out of the race for the Scudetto, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Ancelotti packing his bags at the end of the season.

On a separate note, maybe now that AC Milan are no longer competing for European glory Beckham will be more inclined to come back to the US.
