Yesterday, Ronaldo de Lima, nicknamed the "glass man" on account of the frequency he acquires injuries, made his much-hyped return to football. Considering he is getting old and consequently has blurred the line of which injuries are because of his age, and which are because of his propensity to get injured, we must pass on the title to a new world class striker that has a knack for missing games through injury.Yes, I am looking at you Mr. Torres.
Unfortunately for Liverpool fans, it looks as though Torres' career might be plagued by this nagging hamstring and fragile ankles. Though, Liverpool fans can take solace in the fact that;
1) he still can produce the goods quite quickly after coming back from injury (for example his performance vs. Portsmouth)
2) Lionel Messi seemed to be in a similar situation and has since strung together a long string of appearances.
So maybe it is just a bad run at the moment, or maybe it is something more serious, but only time will tell.
probably too early,
ReplyDeletewould be a pity if it did become a chronic problem though
It's just a bad run. El Nino will be fine soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat about your boy, Rooney? He's out a lot too.
The amazing thing is how physically strong Christiano Ronaldo is. He gets taken down hard EVERY game, and keeps getting back up. Sure he whines a little, but most of the time it's justified, these backs just can handle his pace.
